When research slows down, so does progress. With the Dutch cabinet’s cuts to research, the innovations that make life more inclusive and sustainable are at risk of slowing down too.
An exoskeleton can help someone with shaky limbs enjoy a cup of coffee, a drone can deliver medicine to remote areas, a robot can finish mortar joints and make work less physically demanding, and a storm-proof umbrella can reduce waste.
